Senior Manager, Benefit Operations
About the role
This role sits at the center of Danone North America’s benefits ecosystem owning annual enrollment delivery, strengthening vendor performance, and improving the technology and data flows that power the employee experience.
Responsibilities
Annual Enrollment Leadership
- Lead the end-to-end planning, implementation, and execution of annual enrollment
- Cook up timelines, quality, and employee experience goals with internal stakeholders and external vendors
- Manage testing, issue resolution, and post-enrollment improvements
Benefits Technology & Data
- Serve as the strategic and technical partner to Benefits Operations process owners
- Support configuration and optimization of benefits platforms (e.g., Empyrean, Ceridian Dayforce, SHARE)
- Strengthen data integrity by improving vendor interfaces, file transmissions, and audit processes
- Troubleshoot issues and maintain technical documentation
Vendor Strategy & Operations
- Manage relationships with brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators (TPAs)
- Support renewals, proposals, and RFP activities
- Oversee outsourced partners to ensure delivery against quality, cost, and performance standards
- Review and approve benefit invoices and carrier remittance processes
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Identify and implement process and technology improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk
- Partner with Legal, HR, and Finance to support compliance and maintain audit readiness (ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, etc.)
- Stay informed on industry trends and recommend enhancements aligned to business needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8–12+ years of experience in benefits administration, HR operations, benefits technology, HRIS benefits, or healthcare/benefits vendor environments
- Demonstrated ownership of annual enrollment delivery
- Experience managing vendors, carriers, or TPAs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (Excel proficiency expected)
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Working knowledge of benefits compliance principles
Pay
The salary range for this position is $120k-172k USD. The exact salary offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, geographic location, internal equity, and market conditions.
Schedule
This role is considered a “hybrid” position that allows for flexible work, meaning it is a role where collaboration with key stakeholders in Danone Hubs occurs. While you may have the option to work from home on a schedule as agreed to with your supervisor, you are also expected to regularly report to your assigned office location at least 3 days per week.
