Company Overview
The Senior Manager of Benefits is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive employee benefits programs that support the organization's talent strategy while ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and an exceptional employee experience.
- Lead the strategy, administration, and continuous improvement of employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and voluntary benefits.
- Evaluate benefit plan competitiveness through market benchmarking and industry analysis.
- Manage annual open enrollment planning, communication, and implementation.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and other benefits-related laws.
- Manage leave of absence programs and coordinate with internal stakeholders and third-party administrators.
- Analyze benefits utilization, costs, and employee feedback to recommend program enhancements.
- Partner with Human Resources, Finance, Payroll, and leadership on benefits strategy and budgeting.
- Oversee benefits communications and employee education initiatives to improve understanding and engagement.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and organizational changes related to employee benefits integration.
- Maintain benefits policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop members of the Benefits team.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and employee satisfaction.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: 8+ years of progressive employee benefits experience. 3+ years of leadership or people management experience.
- Experience: Managing comprehensive health and welfare benefit programs. Experience overseeing retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and leave administration. Experience partnering with executive leadership and cross-functional business teams. Experience managing benefits vendors, consultants, and third-party administrators. Experience within a technology or high-growth organization is preferred.

Retirement plans, including 401(k) administration. ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, and other applicable employment laws. Benefits compliance and regulatory reporting. Vendor management and contract negotiations. HRIS and benefits administration systems. Employee wellness and recognition programs. Benefits market trends and best practices.
