Responsibilities
- Serve as a key financial and administrative partner, leading complex budget development and monitoring, grant administration, contract management, financial analysis, and special projects that support departmental operations and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare budget adjustments, journal entries, fund transfers, financial reports, and City Council staff reports.
- Manage grant opportunities from application through award and compliance.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in finance or a closely related field; OR, equivalent related work experience;
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience performing administrative, operations, budgetary and similar analyses.
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and proactive professional with a strong background in finance, accounting, budgeting, or public administration and a passion for public service.
- Possesses exceptional analytical skills and experience managing complex financial processes, including budget preparation, financial reporting, grant administration, contract management, journal entries, and fund transfers.
- Highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can successfully manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting critical deadlines.
- An effective communicator who builds strong partnerships across departments, exercises sound judgment, and is committed to providing exceptional customer service while supporting the department's financial integrity and long-term success.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access.
