Senior Major Gifts Officer

Responsibilities

• Manage an annual portfolio of prospects capable of making principal ($250,000+) and major gifts ($25,000+).
• Prospect identification, cultivation and stewardship.
• Works with Legacy leaders, trustees and physicians on gift approach strategies.
• Prepares contact reports and appropriate follow-up materials in consultation with communications department.
• Prepares proposals for prospects regarding appropriate gift instruments.
• Works closely with philanthropy leadership to build a Foundation board and other fundraising councils, as appropriate, of prominent community leaders and philanthropists.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in business, communications or liberal arts.
• Experience: Minimum of eight years of experience in major gift fundraising, preferably in health care, academic medicine or higher education. Extensive experience in sales (8+ years) may be substituted for fundraising experience.

Licenses and Certifications

• Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) preferred.

Pay

Pay Range: USD $55.01 - USD $81.97 /Hr.
