Senior Maintenance Worker

About the role

As a Senior Maintenance Worker, you will perform maintenance and repair of street signs and pavement markings. This essential role supports city operations by ensuring traffic infrastructure remains functional and safe.

Responsibilities

• Remove and replace street signs as needed throughout the city
• Clean and repair pavement markings
• Set up traffic hardware for signal repairs, detours, and other traffic-related repairs
• Assist with stripping of roadways and curbs
• Provide support to other divisions within the department as needed
• Assist in traffic control setup for special events, emergencies, and weather response

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalency
• Education preference: Community college, vocational, business, technical, or correspondence school certifications
• No experience required, but one year of related experience is preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Current valid Class "C" driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety
• Proficiency with power tools
• Strong teamwork and dependability
