Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS (optional)
- Perform impact analysis, estimation, coding, unit testing, and defect resolution
- Provide L2/L3 production support including abend resolution and batch monitoring
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for requirement gathering and solution design
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and quality assurance processes
- Handle version control and deployment using SCM tools like Endevor (Changeman, ISPW, PANVALET)
- Lead or mentor junior developers and contribute to technical decision-making
- Engage in client communication and status reporting
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in COBOL development and maintenance
- Experience with JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS (optional)
- Strong understanding of z/OS, MVS, and UNIX operating systems
- Proficiency in Endevor (Changeman, ISPW, PANVALET) and other relevant SCM tools
- Knowledge of File-Manager, SPUFI, XPEDITER, ABEND-AID, CA-7 (ZEKE/ Control-M), and utilities
- Experience with CICS, TSO/ISPF, ServiceNow, JIRA, GitHub, and Jenkins
