SENIOR MACHINIST CABINETMAKER : $33–$41 per hour

Historic Door Replication – Olek, Inc., a traditional millwork shop established in 1950, is seeking a Senior Machinist Cabinetmaker for full-time employment in City of Orange, NJ.

About the role

A 30-person shop specializing in doors, windows, casegoods, paneling, and furniture offers long-term, steady year-round employment with substantial overtime available. Many employees have worked continuously for decades in a pleasant shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Independently lay out complex door and millwork components.
• Grind, select, or specify custom knives and cutters.
• Set up traditional shapers and molders safely.
• Machine curved, tapered, or irregular components.
• Produce cope-and-stick, mortise-and-tenon, and haunched joints.
• Match historic moldings from samples.
• Develop fixtures for short production runs.
• Diagnose machinery, tooling, and tolerance problems.
• Minimize waste in costly lumber and veneer.
• Supervise junior operators.
