About the Opportunity
The Senior Logistics & Operations Associate supports the day-to-day logistics and operations functions, focusing on outbound logistics, retailer fulfillment, and distribution center management. Reporting to the Director of Operations & Logistics, this role ensures efficient product movement from third-party warehouses to customers and retail partners. The position requires proactive problem solving, ownership of operational workstreams, and collaboration with internal and external teams to improve processes and service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Act as primary contact for distribution center partners concerning outbound logistics
- Ensure timely order fulfillment across retail partners and sales channels
- Collaborate with Finance to maintain compliance in inventory, warehouse operations, and logistics costs
- Participate in physical inventory counts at distribution centers twice annually
- Maintain and update SOPs, vendor guidelines, routing guides, and operational documentation
- Support development of best practices and tools for outbound logistics
- Analyze operational data to track performance and support KPIs including chargebacks and claims
- Drive continuous improvements in third-party warehouse fulfillment processes
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to enhance operational efficiency
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing for system updates
- Support inbound logistics as needed
- Manage retailer chargebacks and resolve discrepancies through root cause analysis
- Validate shipping and transaction data to identify improvement opportunities
- Maintain documentation that supports operational consistency and vendor relationships
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, operations, or fulfillment within the CPG industry
- Hands-on experience with 3PL warehouses, distribution centers, and B2B order management
- Strong knowledge of supply chain operations including inventory management, warehouse operations, freight logistics, and retailer order fulfillment
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred), warehouse management, and advanced Excel skills
- Data-driven mindset comfortable with operational metric analysis
- Ability to take ownership, manage priorities independently in a fast-paced remote environment
- Skilled in root cause analysis and implementing solutions
- Effective communicator able to build relationships across teams and with external partners
- Adaptable in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities
- Willingness to travel up to 20% for inventory counts, offsites, and projects
Pay
Base salary range of $75,000 to $90,000 depending on experience. Eligibility for bonus compensation.
