About the role

The Senior Locums Recruiter is responsible for leading full-cycle recruitment of clinicians for temporary assignments across the U.S., working closely with internal stakeholders to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, source, screen, and recruit qualified OBGYN hospitalist clinicians for locum tenens assignments
  • Educate clinicians on the professional and lifestyle benefits of a locum tenens career
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clinicians from initial contact through assignment completion
  • Manage and document all candidate activity within the applicant tracking system (ATS) to ensure accurate reporting and compliance
  • Generate candidate leads through outbound sourcing, referrals, and strategic recruiting initiatives
  • Maintain detailed recruitment metrics, including applicant flow, interviews, and placement results
  • Collaborate with leadership to support and execute strategic clinician recruitment plans
  • Serve as a primary communication liaison between clinician candidates and operational leadership
  • Analyze healthcare recruitment trends, market conditions, and competitive data to inform recruiting strategies
  • Partner with shared services teams to discuss and support contract negotiations and placement logistics
  • Travel up to 25% of the time to assigned markets, as needed
  • Perform additional projects and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2–4 years of physician recruitment experience (required)
  • Proven ability to proactively source, engage, and close clinician candidates
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with clinicians and leadership at all levels
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and goal-oriented with a strong sense of ownership
  • Working knowledge of recruiting and talent management best practices
  • Comfortable negotiating and influencing in a professional, consultative manner
  • Proficiency with ATS platforms and Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while contributing to team goals

  • Experience in healthcare recruitment preferred
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry trends and market conditions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively

$65,000 – $75,000 + Incentive
