Position Purpose - Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

  • Solicits new residential mortgage clients and develops a strong business network of referrals.
  • Analyzes borrower's financial and credit data to determine creditworthiness and financial security.
  • Originates sales by contacting prospective clients, developing and maintaining referral sources, and spending time outside the office originating loans.
  • Makes in-person and telephone contacts with clients, including meetings at locations other than PRMI’s offices.
  • Contacts real estate agents, brokers, financial advisors, and other potential referral sources to develop borrower leads.
  • Engages in marketing and promotional activities to support sales efforts.
  • Develops and continues business opportunities by cultivating relationships with realtors, builders, bankers, and others.
  • Keeps up-to-date on PRMI products and offers clients the best mortgage products that match their needs.
  • Reviews application information, requests necessary documentation, analyzes applicant data, credit, and collateral property value, and determines appropriate financial products.
  • Advise clients on financial product advantages and disadvantages, market, service, or promote PRMI’s financial products.
  • Completes necessary continuing education and stays current on local developments and trends within the real estate and mortgage industries.
  • Creates and maintains excellent business relationships with the referral client base, generating new mortgage lending opportunities.
  • Communicates and coordinates with clients, in-house support staff, and external service providers to facilitate timely closings.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of two (2) years of sales experience in the mortgage industry.
  • Familiarity with mortgage processes, procedures, rules, regulations, and compliance.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Ability to comprehend and analyze financial information.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Established contact and referral list within the real estate and mortgage industries preferred.
