Senior Loan Officer - Investment Advisory
About the role
In accordance with established lending policies and procedures, examines, evaluates, and recommends approval of commercial customer applications for extensions of credit, predominately through conventional lending programs. Interviews applicants and requests specified information for loan application. Structures credits in a manner consistent with the Bank program guidelines. Develops customer relationships through friendly, courteous and responsive service. Promotes Bank's services to current and potential customers through industry-specific trade shows. Develops strong relationships with referral sources in various market niches.
Responsibilities
- Develops sales, marketing, and business development strategies for vertical
- Serves as a significant business development originator for vertical
- Analyzes applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine if loan requests meet the Bank's and/or SBA's lending criteria
- Structures loan opportunities to comply with Bank and/or SBA standards
- Evaluates sources of repayment on potential loan requests
- Corresponds with or interviews applicants or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information
- Recommends loans to loan committee for approval
- Rejects loans that do not meet lending criteria
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with referral sources
- Develops industry expertise in serving specified market niches
- Maintains relationships with existing loan account customers and administers existing loan accounts as needed
- Keeps abreast of economic conditions, changes and trends in customers' businesses, the banking industry and the specific market niches targeted by the Bank
- Functions as a team and realizes all members of the team are vital to its success
- Stays current with products and services the Bank is offering
- Maintain a high standard of regulatory awareness including BSA, AML, CIP, and OFAC
- Performs other duties as required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5 - 7 years of financial or industry related experience
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Preferred Experience
- Formal conventional and SBA credit training
- Strong work ethic

Pay
The base pay range for this position is $128,500.00 - $436,900.00 per year. Compensation may also include annual bonuses and long-term incentives, subject to various metrics and company policy.
Schedule
A candidate’s salary is determined by several factors including travel, relevant work experience or skills and expertise.
