About the role
Our General Managers are responsible for:
- Ensuring financial performance of the community by creating, managing, and abiding by the approved budget.
- Maintaining accounting compliance by overseeing community financial records, including rent receipts, petty cash disbursements, miscellaneous income and expenditures, and payroll.
- Maintaining HR compliance by overseeing personnel records of all employees, including proper and complete documentation for all new hires, ongoing training documentation, performance evaluations, timely merit increases, and performance management.
- Providing the Seattle office with all necessary reports on time and in the proper format.
- Implementing and enforcing all policies and procedures of the Operations Manual, Food Services Manual, Team Member Handbook, and State Licensing Regulations.
- Providing active leadership in creating and maintaining the highest standards of customer satisfaction in facilities, food service, activities, housekeeping, staff interactions, and resident care.
- Managing the community to a minimum of 94% occupancy rate.
- Monitoring the marketing process to ensure minimum standards are met on a weekly basis.
- Monitoring marketing software in conjunction with the Community Relations Director and Director of Sales to ensure marketing activities result in the budgeted occupancy goal.
- Monitoring and reporting competitors’ activities to management.
- Maintaining accountability for the overall functionality of the community.
- Interacting regularly with residents and attending resident functions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proficiency in computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, etc.
- 21 years of age with a college degree (preferred).
- 3-5 years of management experience.

- Occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs), bending, or reaching.
