About the role
The Wealshire, a family-oriented dementia/Alzheimer’s care company, seeks an experienced Dietary Cook for their Bloomington care facility.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals for residents following dietary guidelines and preferences.
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with the dining team to develop and implement meal plans.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Valid Food Handlers Permit.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents and staff.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in using cooking equipment and appliances.
- Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for elderly individuals.
- Ability to follow recipes and adjust portion sizes as needed.
Skills
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Positive attitude and ability to maintain a calm demeanor under pressure.
