About the role
The Senior Living Chef is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals to residents in a senior living community. This role requires a strong culinary background and excellent interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare daily menus that meet nutritional guidelines and cater to diverse dietary needs.
- Supervise kitchen staff and ensure food safety and quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with nutritionists and dietitians to develop meal plans that support resident health and wellness.
- Manage inventory and maintain cost-effective purchasing practices.
- Train new kitchen staff and assist in training programs for ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional kitchen setting.
- Valid Food Handlers Permit.
- Experience working in a senior living environment preferred.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and following recipes.

Pay
