Responsibilities

  • Build connections with families to help them care for aging loved ones by matching them with one or more of nearly 700 Brookdale communities nationwide.
  • Recommend families take the next step to visit Brookdale communities, demonstrating how we enrich lives with compassion, respect, excellence, and integrity.
  • Assist families looking for senior housing or home-based assistance by identifying the best-fit Brookdale communities or other resources.
  • Persuade prospects to visit Brookdale communities to explore options that improve their quality of life and schedule appointments for visits.
  • Update databases with customer/prospective customer status and changes, ensuring data quality meets compliance requirements.
  • Nurture leads not yet ready for community follow-up by providing relevant information and scheduling follow-up conversations to advance the lead.
  • Support Brookdale communities through outbound calls and emails to update prospect information and schedule follow-up activities, emphasizing setting community visits.
  • Work closely with community sales and operations associates as an extension of their sales team.
  • Actively participate in interactive training, coaching processes, and department-wide culture-building activities.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor’s Degree (B.A or B.S) from a four-year college or university is preferred.
  • Two years of experience in sales, pre-sales, inside sales, or appointment setting is preferred; related experience in healthcare or call centers is also preferred.
  • Understanding of the aging process and needs of older adults across all product lines.
  • Ability to operate personal computers and related software.
  • Strong time-management, organizational, and project-management skills in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to present Brookdale as an organization that maximizes seniors' quality of life through high-quality care and services.
  • Ability to build trust, act honestly, and assess customers’ expectations, needs, and circumstances.
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter who can work without close supervision.

Skills

  • Working knowledge of a skill or discipline requiring basic analytic ability.
  • Overall understanding of the work environment and processes.
  • Working knowledge of the organization.
  • Effective management of time, tasks, and projects.

Temporary associates are not benefits-eligible but may participate in the company’s 401(k) program. Brookdale offers to advance fees for naturalization (Form N-400) application costs, up to $725 (less applicable taxes and withholding), for qualified associates who have been with the company for at least a year.

Pay

Base pay is determined by the applicant’s skills and experience. The role is also eligible for team-based bonus opportunities.
