Responsibilities
- Builds a connection with families and helps them care for their aging loved ones by matching them with one or more of nearly 700 Brookdale communities nationwide, recommending they take the next step to visit and see how we enrich lives with compassion, respect, excellence, and integrity.
- Assists families looking for help with senior housing or other home-based assistance.
- Identifies the Brookdale communities or other resources that best fit a family’s needs.
- Persuades people to take action by visiting Brookdale communities, educates them on available options to improve their quality of life, and schedules appointments for families to visit one or more communities.
- Updates databases with customer/prospective customer status and changes, ensuring data quality meets all compliance requirements.
- Nurtures leads not yet ready to be forwarded to a community by supplying relevant information and scheduling follow-up conversations to advance the lead toward choosing a community to visit.
- Supports Brookdale communities through outbound calls and emails to update prospect information in the database, schedule follow-up activities for community sales associates, and emphasize setting appointments for prospects to visit the community.
- Works closely with community sales and operations associates as an extension of their sales team.
- Actively participates in interactive training, coaching processes, and department-wide culture-building activities with supervisors and team members.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor’s Degree (B.A or B.S) from a four-year college or university is preferred.
- Two years of experience in sales, pre-sales, inside sales, or appointment setting is preferred.
- Related experience in healthcare or call centers is also preferred.
- Understanding of the aging process and needs of older adults across all product lines.
- Ability to operate personal computers and related software.
- Effective time, task, and project management in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to present Brookdale as an organization ready to meet seniors' needs and maximize their quality of life.
- Ability to build trust and act honestly in relationships with others.
- Ability to assess and understand customers’ expectations, needs, and circumstances.
- Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Self-starter who excels in organizational and time-management skills and can work without close supervision.

To support associates in their journey to become a U.S. citizen, Brookdale offers to advance fees for naturalization (Form N-400) application costs, up to $725 (less applicable taxes and withholding), for qualified associates who have been with us for at least a year.
Pay
Base pay in range will be determined by applicant’s skills and experience. Role is also eligible for team-based bonus opportunities.
