Senior LIMS Business Analyst

About the role

The role will join a team of analysts working on multiple LIMS and web portals. Currently, there is a project to implement a replacement Starlims LIMS (LPH version) for both environmental and clinical users.

Responsibilities

• Application discovery/training
• Requirements gathering
• QA testing
• STARLIMS configuration validation
• Test case development
• Quality assurance activities
• Create documentation for business requirements, functional specifications, and solution designs
• Elicit and document business requirements through interviews and workshops
• Analyze laboratory processes and identify areas for improvement or automation
• Engage stakeholders to understand their needs, provide updates, and manage expectations
• Analyze data to provide insights and support decision-making processes
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and user stories

Requirements

• Experience in a laboratory environment or in supporting laboratory systems
• Familiarity with System Development Life Cycle methodologies including Agile and Waterfall methods
• Experience with software products including Word, Excel, Visio, and DevOps
• Experience with Starlims LPH preferred
