Senior Level Interior Designer

About the role

Alma Homes seeks an enthusiastic, hardworking, and highly creative Senior Level Interior Designer to join our team in Orono, MN. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for design, an ability to think outside the box, and excellent problem-solving skills. Success in this full-time role requires strong organizational and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct the design aspect of residential projects, including attending all client meetings.
• Select all interior and exterior finishes for both new home construction and remodeling projects.
• Input selection choices into the required purchasing system.
• Maintain accurate records for all product inventory and offerings in the selection center.
• Maintain and cultivate relationships with representatives from local showrooms.
• Identify and source new materials and products.
• Develop and assemble Design Boards for client presentations and meetings.
• Coordinate furniture installation in client residences.
• Provide on-site support to the field team during client walk-throughs throughout the construction phase.
• Ensure clear and consistent communication with clients, vendors, and the internal team to effectively meet client needs.
• Develop and deliver professional client presentations, including 3D models, 2D mock-ups, and renderings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related discipline.
• A minimum of five years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency in project management, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop (Revit knowledge is a plus, but not essential).
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills.

Pay

Salary: $80,000+ (dependent on qualifications)

Schedule

This is a full-time, on-site position that requires relocation to Minnesota. Remote candidates will not be considered.
