Senior Level Designer
About the role
Disney Digital Entertainment is seeking a Senior Level Designer to join a dynamic and innovative team developing new interactive games and experiences based on Disney's extensive portfolio of characters and worlds.
Responsibilities
- Create game content using Unreal Engine, UEFN, and scripting in Verse in both development and live service environments.
- Collaborate with environment artists to design and build compelling gameplay spaces for players.
- Design, implement, and iterate on gameplay setups including puzzles, combat, and more.
- Write, update, and maintain detailed level design documentation.
- Provide guidance and mentorship for other Level Designers.
Requirements
- 5 years of game development experience, including at least one shipped game in a similar role.
- Experience using Unreal Engine and/or UEFN, and proficiency in C++, Blueprints, and/or the Verse Scripting language.
- Strong collaboration and partnership skills, able to work through challenges and reach consensus.
- A deep appreciation for Disney's IP, including characters and lore, linear media, and movie franchises, theme parks design, and overall aesthetics.
- Expertise in creative problem-solving and building innovative experiences that encourage player interaction.
- Proficiency in 3D game engines and understanding their strengths and limitations in level design.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work with various teams and groups.
- Knowledge of best practices in level design across different game styles.
- A passion for creating engaging and fun experiences for players.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Game Design or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills
- Experience with Unreal Engine and UEFN.

Pay
The base pay for this remote position ranges from $100,100 to $154,300 annually, with actual offer taking into account internal equity and other factors. Bonuses and/or long-term incentive units may also be provided as part of the compensation package.
