Key Responsibilities
- Lead the setup, monitoring, and ongoing updates of project cost and progress metrics.
- Manage core cost control activities, including budget development and revisions, tracking scope changes and trends and monthly expenditure and forecast reporting.
- Maintain accurate and timely data within cost management systems and tools.
- Analyze cost and revenue performance and recommend corrective actions to project leadership.
- Review contractor cost submissions and pay applications for accuracy and contract compliance.
- Track and report construction progress using Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
- Collaborate daily with project controls, construction teams, and vendors to support successful execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 15 plus years of experience in project controls with emphasis on cost management.
- Familiarity with construction contracts, field operations, and pay application processes.
- Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) preferred.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present cost insights clearly.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross functional project environments.
- Willingness to travel for periodic on site project support.
- Proficiency with cost and scheduling tools such as Oracle, EcoSys, Unifier and Primavera P6, Microsoft Project.
Qualifications
- Experience with cost and scheduling tools such as Oracle, EcoSys, Unifier and Primavera P6, Microsoft Project.
- Ideally, you'll also have Certified Cost Professional (CCP). Project Management Professional (PMP). Construction Manager (CCM).
