About the role

Lead technical execution of BESS and renewable energy projects hand-in-hand with project management.
Review and approve design deliverables and project documentation.
Define control system narratives and SCADA configurations for energy applications.
Support proposal development and respond to RFIs and RFPs.
Collaborate with supply chain to evaluate and approve technical solutions.
Manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Interface with customers to deliver tailored engineering solutions.
Share technical knowledge and support internal training and testing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical execution of BESS and renewable energy projects hand-in-hand with project management
  • Review and approve design deliverables and project documentation
  • Define control system narratives and SCADA configurations for energy applications
  • Support proposal development and respond to RFIs and RFPs
  • Collaborate with supply chain to evaluate and approve technical solutions
  • Manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Interface with customers to deliver tailored engineering solutions
  • Share technical knowledge and support internal training and testing

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5+ years of experience in power systems, energy storage, or power electronics
  • or Master’s degree in engineering and 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with SCADA systems and automation protocols (Modbus, DNP)
  • Strong technical aptitude in electrical engineering and industrial software
  • Familiarity with renewable and thermal generation technologies
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams

Qualifications

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
