About the role
Your primary responsibilities will focus on leading an electrical engineering team to provide advisory services and engineering design solutions for clients across all market sectors. You will collaborate with our Client Account Managers and sales professionals on pursuits of strategic importance to the firm.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate client energy needs
- Develop concept-level plans and solutions
- Provide detailed design for full execution of solutions
- Engage with clients, develop relationships, and win work
- Develop and execute business growth strategy
- Propose and manage project execution planning
- Mentor and develop junior technical staff
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering or related engineering discipline
- At least 10 years of engineering design and/or consulting experience
- Professional Engineering licensure (any US state)
- Proven ability to engage with clients, develop relationships, and win work
- Demonstrated ability to engage in business growth strategy
- Experience with proposal development and project execution planning
- Possess highly collaborative and sophisticated communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
Qualifications
- Passion for mentoring and development of junior technical staff
- Strong communication and technical writing skills
Skills
- Experience with power distribution systems and microgrids
- Experience with power generation projects exceeding 10MW capacity
- Experience with HV or MV substations
- Experience with renewable energy projects including wind, solar, hydro, geothermal and other technologies
- Experience with energy storage systems
- Experience with power system modeling using SKM Power Tools, ETAP or similar modeling software
- Experience with protection and control, SCADA or power system automation
- Experience with campus utility master planning or decarbonization/climate response planning
- Experience with cogeneration or combined heat and power systems
- Experience with thermal utility plants and distribution systems (steam, hot water, chilled water)
