Job Description

We're seeking a Senior Laboratory Technician to perform analytical testing, maintain laboratory instrumentation, and support our quality-driven laboratory operations.

This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise across multiple laboratory techniques while working with state-of-the-art equipment in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine laboratory testing and support activities per Standard Operating Procedures
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment
  • Manage inventory for required operating materials
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently and meet established deadlines
  • Support other laboratory areas as needed.

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • Associate's degree or equivalent in Chemistry or Engineering or related scientific field
    • 3+ years analytical laboratory experience using state-of-the-art analytical instrumentation or techniques
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Knowledge of laboratory safety, chemical handling, scientific concepts, and analytical testing equipment
    • Attention to detail
    • Ability to work in a high-volume laboratory testing environment
    • Developing skills in problem solving and process improvements
  • Preferred:
    • B.S. or B.A. degree in Chemistry or related scientific field
    • 5+ years of analytical or metallurgy laboratory experience
    • Developing skills in sample preparation, gravimetry, metallurgy testing, microscopy, cutting/polishing/etching, and other advanced instrumentation
    • Experience with LabWare or similar LIMS
    • Experience in ISO 9001 (or similar) certified organizations.
