Senior Technician, Laboratory

Responsibilities

• Conduct the analysis of samples for a typical LNG plant, including Natural Gas Composition, impurities testing, LNG composition (before & after treatment), Refrigerant composition, Dewpoint (Natural Gas & other gases), Utility Water (produced, waste, cooling), Testing of other plant utilities, Amine solution, Environmental Waste Streams, Natural Gas Liquids (NGL, condensate), Oil (condition - viscosity, particles, ferrographic).
• Coordinate third party analysis as needed.
• Cargo Certificates of Analysis.
• Coordinate sampling & testing of external samples.

Qualifications

• Required experience: Bachelor of Science in Biology, Chemistry, or related field with at least four (4) years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Education and Certifications: Preference given for recent LNG experience, extensive knowledge of sampling and laboratory equipment, including troubleshooting, analytical skills in quality testing using gas chromatography, ion chromatography, and colorimetric methods, mechanically inclined to troubleshoot common problems, exceptional communication skills, proficient with MS Office Suite.
• Experience: Oil and Gas experience is required, with preference in LNG applications, however, petrochemical, NGL, cryogenic natural gas processing, or other hydrocarbon processing experience may be acceptable.
• Skills: Ability to work independently and as a team, ability to translate technical data to different audiences.
