Senior Job Captain - Production

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers, design and other project team members to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Ensure projects are executed efficiently and within established timelines and budgets.
• Translate conceptual designs into detailed construction documents, including plans, elevations, sections, and specifications.
• Aid in the development of design concepts as needed.
• Stay current with building codes and regulations and ensure project designs and documents adhere to all relevant codes and standards.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members, including interns, drafters, and Job Captains.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
• Conduct regular reviews of project documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality.
• Implement best practices and quality control processes.
• Assist in the administration of construction contracts, including site visits, responding to RFI’s, and reviewing submittals.
• Utilize industry-standard software tools such as Revit, and other relevant design and project management software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in architecture, architectural technology, or proven experience as a draftsperson in an architectural firm or related industry.
• Architectural licensure preferred or in progress.
• 2-4 years of experience as a Job Captain or similar role.
• Proficiency in Revit, and other industry-standard software.
• Strong knowledge of architectural principles, building codes, and construction methods.
