Senior Production Worker

About the role

ARCOSA Lightweight is searching for a Senior Production Worker for their Shepherdsville, KY plant. The role supports a positive safety culture by managing activities and staff in a 24/7 aggregate environment regulated by MSHA safety standards. The Senior Production Worker is part of the production team responsible for manufacturing products.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures, and applicable government regulations
• Operate at least 2 pieces of mobile equipment (haul truck, farm tractor, water truck, rubber tire backhoe, front loader, etc.)
• Operate equipment in quarry or production
• Ensure proper identification of parts and materials
• Perform tasks assigned in a safe and effective manner
• Maintain the bowl mill and cooler area
• Perform all necessary work area inspections and document discrepancies
• Run clinker pile and spec material clay shed via front end loader
• Close off spec doors to coolers
• Haul stack dust once a shift
• Remove logs from cooler
• Oil bowl mills
• Fill and maintain coal hopper
• Perform all tasks in a safe manner which includes wearing proper personal protective equipment and following safety regulations established by this company
• Keep water level pumped down at eight belt
• Run clinkers for the screening and crushing department
• Grease and inspect crusher screens in finishing plant
• Help clay feed attendant to keep clay chopped in clay shed
• Run sweeper to keep concrete clean, washing of scrubber slabs
• Absorb and assist in turning and replacement of hammers in crusher
• Drive dump truck during cleanup of spillage in plant
• Maintain the operation of the cooler reversible belts which includes keeping tail pulleys clean and keeping water on belts when needed
• Maintain the operation of the coal mills which include maintaining proper oil levels, water circulation through coal mills, grease appropriate areas when needed and keeping coal area clean
• Maintain the operation of cooler drives and keep area around the coolers clean
• Keep tail pulley and catwalk cleaned on stockpile belts
• Remove clinkers from cooler pits and stack in designated areas
• Keep all above areas clean
• Grease equipment in all areas of production
• Perform other duties as required

Requirements

• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
• The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required and lift weights up to 60 pounds
• The ability to work in a varied outdoor environment (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent
• A minimum of 1 year of experience
• The ability to operate at least 2 pieces of mobile equipment (haul truck, farm tractor, water truck, rubber tire backhoe, front loader, etc.)
• Remove logs from cooler
• On the job training
• Operating front end loader
• Operate bobcat
• Operate dump truck
