About the Role
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, C++, Kafka, Microservices, and Cloud technologies, along with experience building scalable and distributed systems. Experience in eCommerce and product development environments is highly desirable. The candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, be capable of working independently, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement high-performance Java-based applications.
- Analyze business and user requirements to define application architecture and technical solutions.
- Define application objectives, features, and functionality aligned with business goals.
- Design and develop scalable, secure, and distributed microservices-based applications.
- Build RESTful APIs and backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop and maintain event-driven applications using Apache Kafka.
- Participate in architecture discussions and recommend improvements to existing systems and Java infrastructure.
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality software solutions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and production issues.
- Produce detailed technical design documents and development specifications.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and software engineering principles.
- Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, QA Engineers, and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Develop user and technical documentation where required.
- Support CI/CD implementation and deployment automation.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and continuously enhance technical expertise.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Java application development.
- Strong expertise in Spring Boot and enterprise Java frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with C++.
- 6+ years of experience with Apache Kafka.
- Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture.
- Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience designing and building scalable, distributed, and highly available applications.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and event-driven architecture.
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of software design patterns and object-oriented programming principles.
- Strong debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills.
- DevOps & Tools: Git and Gitflow workflow, Docker, Kubernetes.
- CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or TFS.
- Atlassian tools including Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
- Relevant industry certifications in Java, Cloud, or Kubernetes are an added advantage.
- Experience in product development organizations.
- Experience working on eCommerce platforms.
- Exposure to cloud-native application development.
- Knowledge of container orchestration and deployment automation.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Pay
Compensation range for this role in Arkansas: $82,000 - $123,000.

- Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty.
