Senior Java Engineer

About the Role

We're working with a leading financial services enterprise that is building a specialized, high-impact engineering team to tackle critical technical challenges and pioneer AI-assisted software delivery at scale. This organization empowers its engineers to rapidly onboard, deliver end-to-end solutions, and leverage cutting-edge AI tools to accelerate development.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly onboard onto unfamiliar codebases, build, and run applications locally
• Deliver working solutions within tight timelines
• Diagnose and resolve complex production issues across multiple platform teams
• Own end-to-end delivery of features, including implementation, testing, and CI/CD pipeline integration
• Work across distributed systems and enterprise-scale microservices architectures
• Use AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude Code or similar) to generate and iterate on code

Requirements

• Strong hands-on Java software engineering experience
• Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex, unfamiliar systems
• Proven track record of delivering end-to-end solutions in fast-paced environments
• Experience with diagnosing and resolving production issues
• Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices architectures
• Eagerness to leverage modern AI tooling in development workflows
