Senior Java Developer

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, development, and implementation of Java RESTful services that integrate Angular UI or with external client systems.
• Analyzes user requirements and defines technical project scope and assumptions for assigned tasks.
• Creates technical designs for new systems, and/or modifications to existing systems.
• Translates detailed requirements into functional system designs.
• Works closely with internal and external design, business, and technical counterparts.
• Researches and recommends functional libraries to expedite development.

Requirements

• Minimum 6+ years overall experience
• 6+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services (Java/J2EE development with REST API, Spring Boot, Openshift Container, Angular, XML, JSON, UML, Jenkins, Swagger)
• 4+ years building containerized micro services and deploying container apps
• 4+ years of GitHub, Jenkins and CI/CD server
• 3+ years of experience integrating with Angular user interface
• Experience writing unit tests for JavaScript code
• Works independently within a team environment in one of the applications
• Proficiency in using Co Pilot for coding efficiency
• Experience using Agile methodologies for developing application

Schedule

This role requires someone at our client site 5 days a week in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, or Dallas, TX.
