Senior Java Developer
Job Description
This position requires a Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain Java/J2EE REST APIs and microservices. The role involves participation in all Agile activities, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews. The developer will also be responsible for troubleshooting issues, optimizing application performance, and supporting deployments.
- Design, develop, and maintain Java/J2EE REST APIs and microservices.
- Participate in Agile activities such as stand-ups, sprint planning, code reviews, and testing.
- Troubleshoot issues, optimize application performance, and support deployments.
- Work on enterprise API and integration projects supporting various business capabilities.
- Contribute to cloud-native and microservices modernization initiatives using Java and Spring technologies.
- Engage in new feature development, application enhancements, and system integrations.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional Agile team that includes developers, QA engineers, architects, business analysts, and DevOps resources.
Requirements
- Experience with core backend skills including Java 8, J2EE, Spring Boot, JUnit 5, and Maven.
- Proficiency in Java/J2EE and Spring Boot.
- Commitment to following best practices for backend programming and deployment.
- Familiarity with an Agile development workflow.
- Experience working in a large corporate IT environment with software tools for design, build, test, and debug.
- Experience with Continuous Integration and related tools such as Jenkins, Maven, and GitHub.
- Adherence to internal best practices regarding coding standards, unit test coverage, automation, and continuous integration.
