Senior IT Governance Lead

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior IT Governance Lead to join the team of a leader in the Technical Services space. This role will shape the governance structure that supports enterprise technology decisions, risk oversight, and compliance discipline across a complex environment. The person in this position will partner closely with business and technology leaders to align IT practices with corporate strategy and executive priorities. In addition, this leader will help strengthen audit readiness, vendor oversight, and clear reporting for senior stakeholders.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain IT governance frameworks for systems and cloud architecture
• Collaborate with business leaders to align technology with corporate strategy
• Identify, assess, and manage IT-related business risks and compliance requirements
• Develop and enforce IT policies, SOPs, and governance guidelines
• Lead internal and external IT audits while monitoring vendor compliance and SLAs
• Facilitate IT Steering Committee meetings and present executive reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; Master’s preferred
• 7-10+ years of experience in IT governance, risk management, audit, or technology strategy
• Expertise in frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL 4, ISO/IEC 38500, and ISO/IEC 27001
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and cybersecurity
• Proven ability to communicate complex IT risks to executives and board members

Pay

$182,000 – $228,000 annually
