Senior IT Consultant

About the role

This position is responsible for providing advanced technical support to University executive offices, ensuring seamless operation across a mixed environment of Apple and Windows devices. A strong emphasis is placed on Apple hardware and mobile device support, including iOS configuration, troubleshooting, and integration with enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintains/configures computing equipment located in multiple locations.
• Extensive knowledge of operating systems and networking technology.
• Knowledgeable about standard PC and Mac equipment located throughout the University as well as telephony systems and software applications.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Interpersonal relations.
• Analyzing and organizing information.
• Planning technology roadmap for area supported.
• Proficient knowledge of IT.
• Frequent travel between buildings on campus for meetings/events and satellite locations supported.
• Installation of office systems as well as on-going troubleshooting.
• Conducting training presentations.
• Lifting and carrying equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree.
• 5 years of relevant experience.
• CompTIA A+ Certification, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, and/or Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) certification.

Schedule

M-F bus hrs EST. On occasion, some evening and weekend work may be necessary depending on business load, project timeline requirements, urgent support, or scheduled downtime changes.

Additional Information

May be responsible for manning an escalation/on-call phone number.
