Senior IT Business Analyst

About the role

The Senior IT Business Analyst will be based in either the Charlotte, NC, Minneapolis, MN, or Columbia, MD office for a minimum of three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home for some of their working week. Learn more about our flexible work culture at computershare.com/flex.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product managers and project teams to define business requirements and meet project objectives.
• Ensure requirements align with business standards and guidelines and business strategy and objectives.
• Perform business analysis and administrative tasks to enhance and maintain applications managed by the Enterprise Systems team.
• Manage and prioritize the scrum's backlog and plan stories for upcoming sprints.
• Determine acceptance criteria for final UAT code.
• Obtain appropriate buy-in on difficult decisions and solve complex issues, especially when there isn't agreement among stakeholders.
• Document high-level requirements for further refinement, including preparation of user stories.
• Support estimates for User Stories based on the relative sizing scale used in your team.
• Accurately capture information in a format that stakeholders can understand, review, and validate.

Requirements

• 5+ years of IT industry experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
• 3+ years of Senior IT Business Analyst experience and any relevant certification added advantage.
• Ability to manage large-scale initiatives and effectively partner with stakeholders across business and technical teams.
• Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships.
• Ability to synthesize data to form a story and align information to contrast or compare to industry perspective and historical business trends.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.
• 4+ years of experience with SQL.
• Experience using advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills.
• Previous experience working within an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT, or related discipline such as maths or science.
• Experience in Financial Services industry.
• Agile and Azure ADO experience in regulated organizations.
• Strong working experience of database development with Relationship Database Management Systems (RDBMS) such as Oracle or SQL Server.
• Experience with Purview.

• An eye for detail and ability to respond to problems by identifying and proposing solutions through analysis.

Pay

The typical base pay ranges for this role are $88,000-$120,000 for Columbia MD. This range may not apply to all locations.
