What’s happening at Vay
- First to roll out vehicles in both Europe and the USA on public roads without a human being inside & currently the 2nd largest commercial, driverless car fleet in the Western World.
- We've partnered with Kodiak to bring remote-driving technology to autonomous trucks in the US, showcasing our ability to integrate our system into heavy-duty commercial vehicles and expand the applications of our tech across the US.
- We’ve completed 10’s of thousands of trips so far and are busy multiplying our Las Vegas fleet just to meet demand!
- ...And soon we’ll be expanding across the US & Europe 🚀
- Own and scale our internal IT operations, tools, devices, user management, and automation across Vay.
- Work across almost every department at Vay, and support the entire organization by owning and evolving our internal IT systems and tools.
- Manage Google Workspace and Atlassian products, troubleshoot daily issues, and make improvements, automate processes, and scale infrastructure as we grow, while ensuring our internal systems run like clockwork.
- Evolve Vay's identity and access infrastructure: administer IdPs, configure SSO across all internal tools, and manage the full user lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
- Design and implement IT systems from scratch: not just operate what exists, but identify gaps, propose solutions, and build them (MDM rollouts, automation workflows, asset management pipelines).
- Manage device fleet and MDM platforms (Intune, Jamf, JumpCloud) across macOS, Windows, and Linux environments.
- Run network infrastructure for the Berlin office: Wi-Fi (Meraki/Ubiquiti), VPN, DNS, meeting room hardware (Google Meet devices, Rally Bars).
- Automate everything worth automating: using scripting (Python, Bash, GAM, Google Apps Script) and workflow tools (n8n, Zapier, Claude), including exploring AI/LLM-powered approaches.
- Manage IT security posture: MFA policies, access control, incident response (credential leaks, phishing), device lock/wipe, and support for compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC2).
- Be the go-to IT person: across almost every department helpdesk, troubleshooting, vendor management, documentation, and internal tooling support.
- At least 5+ years in IT administration, with at least 2 years owning systems end-to-end (not just operating them) with deep hands-on experience with Google Workspace and Atlassian administration.
- Experience with IdP/SSO platforms: such as Okta, Azure AD/Entra, or similar.
- Proven MDM administration across macOS and Windows (Intune, Jamf, or JumpCloud).
- Comfort with networking fundamentals: Wi-Fi management, VPN, DNS troubleshooting.
- Scripting ability in at least one of: Python, Bash, or Google Apps Script.
