Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation, availability, and continuous improvement of the Company's enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud services, and technology operations
- Administer and support the Company's 24x7 production infrastructure, including Windows Server, Hyper-V, Microsoft IIS, MSSQL, Dell Compellent SAN, Dell switches, Palo Alto NGFW, disaster recovery solutions and datacenter operations.
- Partner with IT leadership and software development teams to plan and implement infrastructure modernization, cloud initiatives, application hosting, and production deployments while proactively monitoring enterprise systems and implementing improvements that enhance performance, availability, reliability, scalability, and security.
- Configure, administer, and maintain the Company's enterprise network and telecommunications infrastructure, including switching, VPNs, wireless networks, firewalls, internet connectivity, and the ShoreTel/Mitel VoIP platform with SIP trunk infrastructure.
- Administer Microsoft Cloud Services, including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra (Hybrid), Intune, Microsoft Defender, Azure, Exchange (hybrid), identity management, endpoint management, and licensing.
- Manage technology lifecycle activities, including server, storage, network, workstation, and software deployments, upgrades, patching, asset management, and hardware refreshes.
- Lead Helpdesk operations by ensuring timely resolution of hardware, software, network, and user access issues while delivering excellent customer service.
- Develop and maintain IT operational documentation, standards, procedures, and knowledge transfer materials.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, software providers, maintenance partners, and cloud service providers while assisting with budgeting, procurement, licensing, and contract renewals.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to critical production issues outside normal business hours as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible enterprise IT experience.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience administering enterprise Microsoft infrastructure in a production environment, including at least 3 years in a senior systems administrator, infrastructure engineer, or IT management role supporting mission-critical business systems.
- Extensive experience designing, administering, and supporting 24x7 on-premises and hybrid Microsoft infrastructure, including Windows Server, Hyper-V, Microsoft IIS, Microsoft SQL Server, enterprise storage (SAN), backup, disaster recovery, high availability, datacenter operations, and customer-facing web application hosting.
- Extensive experience administering a Hybrid Microsoft Identity and Microsoft Cloud Services environment, including Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Exchange Hybrid, Azure, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender, Conditional Access, endpoint management, identity synchronization, Microsoft licensing, and cloud administration.
- Experience administering enterprise networking and telecommunications infrastructure, including Layer 2 switching, VLANs, VPNs, wireless networking, Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls, internet connectivity, SIP trunking, and ShoreTel/Mitel VoIP or comparable enterprise voice platforms.
- Experience deploying, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing enterprise infrastructure and application environments using monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance management solutions while partnering with software development teams to support application hosting, infrastructure modernization, and production deployments.
- Strong understanding of enterprise cybersecurity, infrastructure lifecycle management, and operational best practices, including vulnerability remediation, patch management, endpoint protection, asset management, hardware refresh planning, business continuity, and infrastructure hardening.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex enterprise infrastructure issues spanning servers, virtualization, storage, networking, Microsoft cloud technologies, and production applications while producing high-quality technical documentation and communicating effectively with executive leadership, software development teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to critical production issues outside normal business hours.
