Senior ISSO (Top Secret Clearance)

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior ISSO to support a major federal modernization program in Huntsville, AL. The Senior ISSO will provide security oversight, compliance monitoring, and risk management support across mission-critical systems, cloud environments, and DevSecOps initiatives. Senior ISSO Responsibilities: Implement and enforce federal cybersecurity policies, security controls, and compliance requirementsMaintain security documentation including SSPs, POA&Ms, control evidence, and audit artifactsPerform vulnerability assessments, support continuous monitoring activities, and drive remediation effortsCollaborate with engineering, cloud, DevSecOps, QA, and operations teams to integrate security throughout the system lifecycleSupport accreditation activities, security assessments, incident response efforts, and risk management initiatives Senior ISSO Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, ISSO support, security engineering, or a related fieldActive Top Secret Security ClearanceSecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, or equivalent preferredStrong knowledge of federal security frameworks, compliance requirements, and accreditation processesExperience conducting vulnerability scanning, analyzing findings, and coordinating remediation activitiesProficiency with identity and access management (IAM), system hardening, logging, auditing, and security monitoringActive Top Secret Security ClearanceExcellent communication skills with the ability to partner with both technical teams and program leadershipExperience supporting federal modernization, defense, or national security programs preferredFamiliarity with AWS cloud environments, DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipeline security, and automated scanning tools preferred Senior ISSO Compensation: Salary range: $150,000 - $165,000 Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Paid Time Off, and Holidays This job opens for applications on September 30, 2026.
