What you’ll do
- Conduct investigations into claims of potential harassment, discrimination, workplace misconduct and/or potential violations of company policies
- Communicate recommendation and guidance on appropriate corrective actions based on investigation results
- Provide investigations, findings and summaries to senior leadership
- Conduct various data analysis on complaints and related metrics, monitoring for patterns and trends to identify areas of concern
- Draft, proof and finalize documents ensuring accuracy and compliance with policy/legal requirements
- Partner with internal stakeholders including leadership, legal, and others when appropriate
- Utilize comprehensive and in-depth employee relations expertise to assess credibility and provide guidance and recommendations for the organization
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of investigations, findings, and resolutions
- Lead continuous improvement of processes and protocols to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in handling employee relations issues
- Other duties as assigned
What you’ll need
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- 7+ years of professional experience handling internal workplace investigations
- In depth knowledge of state and federal employment laws including but not limited to; FMLA, ADA, FLSA, NLRB, Title VII, etc.
- Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills
- Strong project management, analytical, fact-finding and evidence gathering skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Ability to exercise a sense of urgency handling multiple cases/priorities
- Ability to travel as required
Additional qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace software
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM CP or SCP certification
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a high demand, fast-paced environment with diverse, geographically dispersed teams
Physical abilities & exposures
- Routinely: Engage in standard office activities such as standing, sitting, and using computers for extended periods.
- Occasionally: Travel domestically up to 20-25% for team meetings, training, and investigations.
