Position Summary

Would you like to join CVS Health as part of our dynamic Human Resources team? As an Employee Relations (ER) Investigator, you are responsible for the execution and ownership of investigating Employee Relations concerns and providing expert consultant and guidance to managers and employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, conduct, and document detailed and unbiased investigations into employee complaints and allegations.
  • Gather relevant information, interview involved parties, and review pertinent documents and records.
  • Ensure investigations comply with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all investigations and employee relations matters.
  • Ensure documentation is complete, secure, and in compliance with legal and company requirements.
  • Interpret and apply company policies, procedures, and practices to ensure consistent and fair handling of employee relations matters.
  • Provide guidance and advice to managers and employees on policy-related issues.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and accurate investigative reports that summarize findings and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Present findings to senior management and other stakeholders as needed.
  • As needed, assist with training on employee relations topics, including workplace harassment, discrimination, and conflict resolution.
  • Educate employees and managers on policies and procedures to prevent future issues.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of relevant overall experience
  • At least 5 years of Employee Relations Investigations experience
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% (including plane travel)
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; equivalent work experience may substitute

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of Employee Relations experience
  • Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple investigations simultaneously
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Master’s degree preferred
