Senior Internal Audit Analyst

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Internal Audit Analyst to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space. This role will support a broad internal audit and compliance function with a strong focus on SOX control testing, documentation, and risk assessment. You will partner closely with business stakeholders to understand process changes, evaluate controls, and help ensure audit readiness across the organization. The position also involves coordinating testing activities, managing documentation, and supporting clear communication of risks and findings.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with stakeholders to anticipate changes in processes and controls
• Lead project management activities for tracking project status and milestones
• Coordinate testing efforts and produce work papers for the Sarbanes-Oxley program
• Manage audit, risk, and compliance tool updates and document requests
• Update process documentation within the GRC tool
• Develop audit evidence requests and coordinate delivery
• Participate in discussions regarding potential findings with control owners

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Computer Information Systems, or a related field
• 4+ years of public accounting or audit experience
• Proficient knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and internal control framework (COSO)
• Risk-based mindset for prioritizing and assessing audit risks
• Experience with SOX control testing and documentation
• Solid understanding of application and ITGC controls
• Strong communication skills and ability to articulate risks and impacts

Pay

$101,745 – $122,400 annually
