Responsibilities
- Strategically lead multiple interior design projects, ensuring they meet all operational, budgetary, creative and technical standards, and design-quality objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary design contact, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction which results in repeat business.
- Develop detailed project specifications, drawings, and layouts that adhere to contractual and design requirements.
- Collaborate with clients to refine design concepts and ensure their vision is accurately translated into the final product.
- Manage coordination between project teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless execution of design elements.
- Conduct detailed design reviews and approvals to ensure compliance with design standards and client expectations.
- Manage the financial aspects of design projects, including preparing budgets, forecasting costs, and controlling expenditures.
- Review and approve material selections, ensuring they meet sustainability standards, and project aesthetics.
- Present design milestones and final projects to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment with client expectations.
- Engage in business development activities by participating in marketing efforts, proposal development, and client presentations.
- Absolutely ensure adherence to all applicable regulations and codes, safety and building codes, ADA compliance, and environmental standards across all projects and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ability to process, during the construction phase, submittals, RFIs, substitution requests, etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Interior Design or a related field.
- Expert proficiency in design software such as Revit, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and AutoCAD.
- 7+ years of experience in managing large-scale interior design projects.
- Licensed Interior Designer or similar professional qualification.
- Direct project experience working within the U.S. industry, building standards, and regulations, specifically on design-build projects.
