About the role
Lead residential interior design projects from concept through installation, working with architects, builders, contractors, and trades to deliver high-end or luxury residential spaces.
Responsibilities
- Prepare floor plans, elevations, millwork, lighting plans, electrical plans, and construction details.
- Review shop drawings and resolve field conditions; conduct construction site visits.
- Source and specify furniture, fixtures, lighting, textiles, finishes, and materials.
- Create and manage FF&E schedules, including specifications, procurement, purchase orders, tracking, and reconciliation.
- Develop concept boards, material palettes, and client presentations.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, vendors, and timelines.
- Coordinate furniture, custom pieces, window treatments, fabrics, and workrooms; negotiate vendor pricing and estimates.
- Supervise installation, lighting, styling, and project completion.
- Maintain project management and procurement systems.
- Coordinate measurements, deliveries, pickups, and vendor schedules.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular project updates.
Requirements
- 5+ years of residential interior design experience, with high-end or luxury residential experience preferred.
- Expert proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, or SketchUp; ability to independently produce clean, dimensioned, construction-ready drawings.
- Hands-on construction experience; ability to read and redline construction drawings.
- Strong furniture and finish sourcing experience; full-cycle FF&E specification, procurement, and tracking experience.
- Strong knowledge of finishes, materials, colors, furnishings, and soft goods; experience with custom furniture and window treatments.
- Strong project budgeting and management skills; excellent client communication and presentation skills.
- Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field preferred.
- Experience with 3D rendering tools and design management/procurement platforms preferred.
- Knowledge of local trades, codes, and permitting preferred.
- Ability to travel when required.
