About the role

We are seeking a full-time Senior Interior Designer for our Kansas City studio location. This role involves leading project design, interiors team management, and client communication. You will also lead client presentations and serve as the main point of contact for clients on interiors projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor junior associates to develop innovative design concepts for projects that are client-focused, functional and aesthetic.
  • Manage interiors projects and teams, including client communications, timelines and budgets.
  • Lead client presentations and serve as the main point of contact for clients on interiors projects, maintaining strong relationships.
  • Elevate knowledge of innovative materials and applications, integrating sustainable and energy efficient strategies.
  • Oversee the production and execution of high quality construction documents and detailed drawings by conducting thorough quality control checks throughout the project.
  • Cook up with contractors, architects, and engineers to ensure that the design is executed and deadlines are met.
  • Support business development through networking and client acquisition, contributing to proposal development and RFP responses.

Requirements

  • Professional degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Interior Architecture.
  • Certification as licensed professional, preferred NCIDQ.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ interiors related experience.
  • Experience working with high-design projects.
  • Strong skills in client and team communication, design, and consultant coordination.
  • Ability to create and communicate new ideas both independently and in collaboration.
  • Strategic thinker with a creative mindset.
  • Confident communicator and relationship builder.
  • Curious, culturally attuned, and design-literate.
  • Detail-oriented with strong editorial judgment.
  • Agile, organized, and deadline-driven.
