Responsibilities
- Lead interior design projects through all phases, from concept development through construction administration and occupancy.
- Cook up with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams to ensure alignment of project goals, design intent, schedule, budget, and technical requirements.
- Develop and oversee high-quality design presentations, space planning studies, technical documentation, and coordinated construction document packages.
- Ensure compliance with code and regulatory requirements.
- Cook up and integrate consultant work across multiple disciplines, including architectural, MEP, lighting, structural, acoustic, security, and hardware systems.
- Develop FF&E, color palettes and material presentations from the conceptual phase through specifications.
- Communicate conceptual design ideas through sketching, 3D modeling, rendering tools, and graphic storytelling methods.
- Manage project workflow, schedules, deliverables, and team coordination to support successful project execution.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior designers across the studio.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in an architecture or commercial interior design firm with a proven record of successful project completion.
- Bachelor Degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite and Revit is required.
- PREFERRED: Experience in Higher Education, Workplace, Hospitality, and/or Mixed-Use projects.
- LICENSE: Licensure as a professional interior designer or architect.
- PREFERRED: LEED or WELL Accreditation.
