Senior Interior Designer- AllModern

Responsibilities

• Provide an authentic, friendly customer experience that exemplifies Wayfair’s commitment to relentless customer focus.
• Leverage interior design and sales expertise in home furnishings to help customers navigate design needs and purchases (e.g., fabric, finishes, product texture).
• Coach and support Design Sales Advisors, including managing their workload as determined by the Store Leader.
• Assist with store opening and/or closing, including keyholder responsibilities.
• Support Store Leaders in training and developing the Design team on product knowledge, selling, customer service, operations, and visual merchandising.
• Manage virtual, in-store, and in-home design appointments, including preparation of design deliverables, product curation, and follow-up.
• Utilize sales analytics and design software tools (e.g., mood boards, space plans, 2D/3D room views) to drive store profitability and growth.
• Meet or exceed sales, customer satisfaction targets, and other KPIs.
• Participate in operational store activities such as bringing new products to the floor, floor sets, replenishment, and substitutions.
• Engage in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with rapid changes in products, promotions, and operations.
• Contribute innovative ideas and solutions to continuously improve team operations.

Requirements

• Willingness to travel for in-home consultations. If driving your personal vehicle, proof of state-required auto liability insurance and a valid driver’s license may be required.
• 3+ years of sales experience (interior design, furniture, or home goods experience preferred).
• Experience motivating a team to achieve sales goals, preferably as a leader or trainer in a store environment.
• Understanding of design principles, including spatial planning, fabric selection, and interior design styles/trends.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team sales environment with a strong desire to support team success.
• Strong organization, self-motivation, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Track record of thriving in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Technical acumen to learn necessary software; proficiency in Google Suites and/or Microsoft Office applications preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent college diploma preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently required to stand, walk, talk, and hear.
• Must regularly, frequently, or occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay

Compensation starts at $27.50 per hour, increasing based on relevant experience, plus substantial quarterly bonuses.
