Senior Integration Developer

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise API and integration solutions.
  • Develop and manage APIs using IBM API Connect (APIC) and related middleware technologies.
  • Translate business requirements into clear technical requirements, solution designs, and implementation plans for API and integration development.
  • Work with AWS and Kubernetes platforms to deploy and manage API solutions in cloud and containerized environments.
  • Implement and support API security standards such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, and TLS.
  • Configure and support IBM DataPower Gateway and API Gateway policies.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to analyze requirements and define scalable technical solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership to the team, including design guidance, code reviews, troubleshooting, and mentoring junior developers.
  • Design scalable, secure, and reusable integration services aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, business analysts, application teams, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Participate in release planning, deployment activities, defect resolution, and production support.
  • Ensure adherence to API governance, performance, logging, monitoring, and operational best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in integration, API development, and middleware technologies.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM API Connect (APIC).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes is required.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and integration solutions.
  • Strong hands-on experience in designing and developing REST and SOAP services.
  • Strong understanding of API security standards including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, and TLS.
  • Experience with JSON, XML, XSLT, and API design best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with IBM DataPower Gateway.
  • Experience deploying and managing API solutions in cloud and containerized environments.
  • Proven experience in technical leadership, team mentoring, and guiding delivery.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
