A nationally recognized, litigation-focused law firm is expanding its Insurance Coverage & Defense practice in Austin, Texas. The firm represents insurers, self-insured entities, and insured clients in complex, high-exposure litigation matters across multiple industries, offering attorneys sophisticated casework, strong mentorship, and a collaborative environment centered on delivering exceptional client outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through resolution
• Represent insurance carriers, self-insured entities, and corporate clients in complex litigation
• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation
• Draft and argue substantive motions in state and federal courts
• Conduct fact investigations, legal research, and case evaluations
• Prepare litigation strategy recommendations and exposure analyses
• Attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and court appearances
• Collaborate with partners and clients on litigation strategy and risk management
• Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution proceedings
• Supervise and mentor junior associates and support staff as needed
• Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and effective case management
