About the role

As a Senior Instructional Developer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of United States Postal Service (USPS). You will play a crucial role in designing and developing engaging learning experiences for the implementation of software.

  • Lead, manage, and support development of instructor-led and virtual learning content.
  • Collaborate with government agencies, subject matter experts, and instructional designers to learn requirements and build innovative training programs and content.
  • Drive performance by planning, developing, managing, and evaluating in-person, online, and hybrid software training programs.
  • Utilize delivery modalities such as webinars, web-based training, in-person instructor-led training, user guides, and online help systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree.
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Excellent understanding and application of all phases of the ADDIE process.
  • Knowledge and application of adult learning theory.
  • Working knowledge of Section 508 compliance, and conversion of training and supporting documentation into 508 compliant products.
  • US citizenship required; permanent residents (green card holders) are not eligible.
  • Must successfully achieve a full CBP Tier 4 background investigation prior to beginning work.

    Pay

    The likely salary range for this position is $81,349 - $97,750. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements.
