Senior Instructional Designer

Peak Performers has partnered with a Texas State Agency to assist in their search for a remote Senior Instructional Designer . In this position, you will be responsible for instructional design and curriculum development. Major duties Design, develop, maintain, and continuously improve training content for TSDS initiatives. Develop curriculum, eLearning courses, webinars, facilitator and participant guides, instructional videos, job aids, FAQs, assessments, and evaluations. Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methods to web-based and instructor-led training. Conduct training needs assessments and impact analyses and identify training and communication needs related to system, policy, and process changes. Support training and change-readiness activities for the TSDS Unique ID 202x upgrade. Develop train-the-trainer resources and customer readiness materials for school system users. Collaborate with subject matter experts and the TSDS Customer Engagement Team to develop effective training and communication resources. Maintain instructional materials and Learning Management System content, incorporating stakeholder feedback and ensuring consistency. Track milestones and deliverables, analyze training effectiveness metrics, and prepare reports and recommendations for continuous improvement. Support TSDS, TSDS PEIMS, TSDS Core Collections, and TSDS Unique ID initiatives using content-development technologies and Microsoft 365. Support technical software implementations, organizational change initiatives, and large-scale system upgrades. What are we looking for? 8 years of experience designing and developing instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced learning solutions. 8 years of experience creating training curricula, facilitator and participant guides, job aids, and instructional resources. 8 years of experience developing clear, concise, and user-focused technical documentation and training materials. 8 years of experience conducting learning needs assessments and impact analyses. 8 years of experience developing web-based training, videos, webinars, and Learning Management System content. 8 years of experience collaborating effectively with SMEs, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. 8 years of experience using Microsoft 365 to develop training and communication materials. Preferred 8 years of experience delivering technical and business-process training to diverse audiences. 8 years of experience applying adult learning principles and instructional design best practices. 8 years of experience supporting large-scale software deployments, upgrades, and organizational change initiatives. 8 years of experience supporting TSDS PEIMS, Core Collections, and Unique ID initiatives. 8 years of technical writing experience creating clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation.
