Responsibilities

  • Design creative, innovative, and scalable programs for all levels using adult learning theories and methodologies (such as ADDIE, SAM, AGILE)
  • Develop course materials using an array of different media to promote learning through self-study, practice, performance support, and socialization and knowledge sharing
  • Evaluate solutions and programs for quality, business impact, and scalability, leveraging technology to extend access and provide just-in-time learning
  • Produce training materials using rapid development tools and processes
  • Develop assessment instruments to measure learner acceptance, comprehension, and application of processes and systems knowledge
  • Create effective learning experiences leveraging a variety of media, such as video and audio clips, online interactivity, simulations, illustrations, and diagrams
  • Establish user experience goals, priorities, and deliverables that align with product milestones
  • Coordinate multiple projects to completion and drive adoption of user experience practices
  • Lead teams in the development of new learning content by managing completion of milestones and deliverables
  • Lead and participate in the design of curriculum, instruction, and assessment materials using knowledge of current trends and best practices in learning and development
  • Manage learning solution design, measurement strategy, and project management
  • Conduct needs analysis with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to define instructional objectives, business outcomes, and overall requirements of learning solutions
  • Facilitate engaging instructor-led experiences effectively across a range of learners and content
  • Evaluate impact and efficiency of training through formal and informal metrics and identify opportunities to inform work, refinements, and strategy

Requirements

  • Knowledgeable and functional in technical writing, including consistent and correct use of tense, grammar/spelling, and terminology that is interesting and varied
  • Knowledgeable of new learning approaches, technology, and tools through continuous research
  • Ability to collaborate on design and development projects as part of a team using consultative and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain consistent delivery on commitments while working effectively in a constantly changing environment
  • Ability to communicate difficult concepts and processes using clear and simple language and visuals with individuals, small groups, and large audiences at all levels of the organization
  • Familiarity with mobile design guidelines for iOS and Android
  • Ability to grasp the essence of complex design problems and user pain points, and translate them to practical design solutions
  • Ability to accept and design against feedback from colleagues in a rapid iterative design process, and effectively produce multiple work products under tight timelines

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Curriculum Development, Education, Organizational Development, or business required (Master’s Degree preferred) from an accredited college/university
  • 5+ years of experience as an instructional designer or Learning & Development Program manager with demonstrated proficiency in designing, building, and deploying instructor and e-learning modules
  • 5+ years facilitating different corporate groups in workshop and/or training experiences
  • Deep understanding of learning technologies including eLearning authoring tools and learning management systems
  • Experience with multimedia and web design technologies including video conferencing/webinar technologies
  • Advanced to intermediate experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Apps, Microsoft Office Suite, photo-editing software, MS PowerPoint, graphic design software, Photoshop, Illustrator, and presentation applications
  • Advanced to intermediate experience with online, eLearning, and rapid development software such as Articulate, Captivate, or Camtasia

Work Environment

Works in an office environment sitting at a desk, table, or computer workstation for extended periods of time. May travel by car, plane, or other form of transportation to execute training, attend business meetings, or conferences. Approximately 50-80 percent of the time spent on the job involves the use of a personal computer.

Pay

We target between minimum and midpoint of the range, and all offers are subject to a fair pay analysis. Compensation Range: $110,387.00 – $137,983.00.
