Senior Infrastructure Engineer – CMDB Discovery

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer CMDB Discovery to lead enterprise-wide ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB enrichment, and infrastructure asset visibility initiatives. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing discovery solutions across cloud and on-premises environments while ensuring accurate configuration, dependency, and relationship data within the CMDB.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB solutions.
• Improve CMDB accuracy by integrating data from multiple enterprise systems and infrastructure platforms.
• Expand discovery capabilities across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
• Develop and support integrations between ServiceNow, asset management, endpoint management, and cloud platforms.
• Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex CMDB, Discovery, and integration issues.
• Identify automation opportunities and implement innovative discovery solutions to improve operational efficiency and data quality.
• Mentor team members and promote infrastructure engineering best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Systems Engineering, Platform Engineering, or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB, Service Mapping, and Configuration Management.
• Experience engineering and implementing solutions, integrations, and automation not solely administration.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS preferred, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience managing infrastructure discovery across both cloud and on-prem environments.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and firewall technologies.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux systems administration.
• Experience integrating enterprise platforms and infrastructure management tools.
• Understanding of vulnerability management and CMDB's role in security operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JAMF, SCCM/MECM, or other endpoint/asset management platforms.
• Scripting, automation, or custom ServiceNow application development experience.
• Knowledge of AI infrastructure, AI asset governance, and emerging technology discovery.
• Experience working within large-scale enterprise ITSM environments.
